Car crashes into parked vehicles, 3 killed in resulting fire

Police say they had reports of a car driving at a high rate of speed in the area shortly before the crash.

They say one man was able to run from the burning vehicle, but that three other people inside couldn't escape the flames.

Investigators are working to identify the victims. They're asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call with information at 610-759-2200.

Friday morning's fiery wreck that killed three marked at least the sixth wreck since 2012 in the vicinity of Willow Park Road and Freemansburg Avenue in Bethlehem Township.

He said when the officer turned on his emergency lights, the car had already sped past and went nearly a mile before plowing in the parked cars and exploding in flames.

Township police Capt. Gregory Gottschall said the Freemansburg officer estimated the car was going 80 to 100 mph.

Coroner: Identifying 3 crash victims may take weeks

Coroner Zachary Lysek said dental records and DNA analysis will be used, but the process could take days and perhaps weeks for the victims to be positively identified.

Memorial grows at Willow Park Road crash site

While authorities haven't released the names of the victims, their friends and relatives have offered condolences on social media to a 29-year-old Easton woman and her boyfriend, a New Jersey resident.

Ashlee's family and friends will gather Tuesday night at a candlelight vigil in her memory at Riverside Park in Easton.

Daniel Martin, Amanda's father, told WFMZ his daughter of New Ringgold, Schuylkill County, leaves behind two young sons. The boys now will be in Amanda's parents' care, the report stated.

Stolen gun found outside car in which 3 died, police say

Bethlehem Township police continue to investigate the triple-fatal which took the lives of Amanda Martin, 26, of  New Ringgold, Schuylkill County; Ashlee Mosher, 29, of Easton, and Joshua Edwards, 28, of Easton, at 1:22 a.m. They all died inside the car, police said.
