Motorcyclist dies in Honey Brook crash

Police said Robert Ference, of New Holland, was fatally injured after his motorcycle crashed while traveling through a left curve in the roadway. Investigators said that a 15-foot skid mark indicated that Ference attempted to brake before entering the curve but lost control and flipped onto the motorcycle’s side. The bike slid for over 80 feet before striking a speed limit sign, according to police.
Ference was found in a cornfield about 25 feet off Route 10 south of Walnut Road, police said. The motorcycle came to rest over 100 feet from where the initial crash took place, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
