Police: Bus possibly involved in fatal Center City hit-and-run located

Police say they have located the bus believed to have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run outside the Philadelphia Police Administration Building in Center City. The bus, which was headed to Washington DC, was brought back to Philadelphia. Police say they are now examining the vehicle and talking with the driver. The incident happened at 9:47 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of North Franklin and Race streets. Police say a 48-year-old man was crossing the street when a bus turned the corner and struck him. The bus did not stop, and dragged the victim approximately 50 feet. Arriving paramedics rushed the victim to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Philadelphia Police Captain John Wilczynski says, "Not sure if the white bus, the driver knew that they hit the pedestrian, dragged the pedestrian a couple feet, and the pedestrian died."
