One teen dead, two seriously injured in Penn Township crash

One teenager was killed and two others were seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident in Butler County early today. Killed was the male driver of the Toyota coupe that drove off the the 1000 block of Meridan Road in Penn Township and struck a tree shortly after midnight. Two female passengers were injured -- one was flown to Allegheny General Hospital and the other was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital.

Victim in fatal Butler County crash identified as high school student

Ethan Linnon, 18, of Butler died in the single-vehicle crash, which happened just after midnight on Meridian Road in Penn Township. Linnon was a senior at Butler High School, according to an obituary posted on Thompson-Miller Funeral Home's website.  

Classmates pay unique tribute to Butler HS student killed in crash

As students returned to class for the first time since the accident, many wore Batman shirts as a tribute to Linnon. Batman was his favorite superhero.
