3 killed in Upper Saucon Township crash have ties to DeSales University; 4th student injured
It happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday on the 4400 block of Lanark Road in Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County. Police said the vehicle the victims were traveling in veered off the road and hit a tree.

A fourth person who was a passenger in the vehicle and survived the accident was identified as senior sport and exercise physiology major Brandon DiChiacchio, who the school said is undergoing surgery and in critical condition due to injuries he suffered.

Three people in the car — two recent DeSales University graduates and one student — were pronounced dead at the scene at 9:38 p.m. by the Lehigh County coroner’s office.
