Three hurt, one seriously, in Westmoreland County accident today.

Three people were injured, one seriously, when one vehicle crashed and flipped over then was struck by a passing vehicle, according to Westmoreland County emergency dispatchers.
Three people were injured, one seriously, when one vehicle crashed and flipped over then was struck by a passing vehicle, according to Westmoreland County emergency dispatchers. The dispatcher said the accident happened at 2:10 a.m. today on Route 30 at the Mt. Pleasant Street exit in Hempfield Township. One vehicle flipped over on the highway then was struck by a second vehicle that apparently was unable to avoid the crash, the dispatcher said. Of the three people who were hurt, one was flown by a medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital. The extent of the injuries and the names of the victims were unknown and no other details about the accident were immediately available.
