South Hills teen killed after car hits tree

The teen, Shane Phillips, 16, of South Park, was a passenger in the vehicle. There were two other teens in the vehicle — the driver and another passenger.

Dear South Park Families,   Our school district and community are coping with a tragedy today. South Park sophomore Shane Phillips was killed in a car accident early Sunday morning in Bethel Park.   Tomorrow will be a difficult day for all of us. Grief counselors will be available in all three school buildings for both students and staff.

South Park Teen Dies In Car Crash

Phillips was a back seat passenger in a car that went out of control, took out a mailbox, slammed sideways into two trees and hit a fire hydrant before coming to rest. 

South Park man turns self in for Bethel Park crash that killed teen

Christopher Beck, 19, of South Park, turned himself in just after 4 p.m. Wednesday after an arrest warrant was issued. Police say Beck was driving drunk.

He was in the back seat and there were 2 boys in the front seat. Get your story straight before you post inaccurate stuff
