Emergency crews are at the scene of a fatal accident involving a school bus and a car on Route 366, just north of Marlboro Drive. The driver of a car died after hitting a bus full of students from Highlands High School on Route 366 in New Kensington, Westmoreland County. No students were injured. The New Kensington Police Chief said that the driver of the car crossed the center line and hit the school bus, which was full of students. The driver of the car died, police said. That person has not been identified yet. A Highlands High School spokeswoman said that the bus had left the school with students and was headed to Forbes Road Career and Technology Center in Monroeville when it was struck by the car. No students on the bus were injured. They were checked by paramedics at the crash scene before returning to Highlands to be further checked out by registered nurses.
