TRAFFIC: Fatal crash closes Route 51 in Jefferson Hills
Route 51 is shut down from Peters Creek Road south to just past Ridge Road. The crash was reported around 7:30 a.m. Jefferson Hills fire officials have confirmed at least one person was killed in the crash.

Surveillance video in the area appears to show the car involved in the accident to be closely following another vehicle around that time immediately before the accident.
Police looking for second car in fatal Route 51 crash
Authorities are asking anyone who was in the area that saw the vehicle or incidents leading up to the collision to call the Allegheny County Police at 412-473-1300. Callers may remain anonymous or reach out to police on social media.
