Driver killed after fleeing traffic stop and crashing into restaurant in Springdale
The incident began shortly after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday when East Deer police tried to stop the driver on suspicion of DUI, county police said.
Officers lost sight of the car but soon found it had crashed into the From Italy restaurant on Lincoln Avenue in Springdale, investigators said.

Police said East Deer officers followed Kalkowski’s vehicle, but they did not pursue not at a high rate of speed.
