Two people killed in I-81 crash in Franklin County identified by state police.

Two people who were killed Sunday in a crash on Interstate 81 in Franklin County have been identified as John Reardon and Anna Pecht, state police said.

The southbound lanes of Interstate 81, between exit 24 in Southampton Township and exit 20 in Greene Township, have reopened following an accident that claimed two lives and injured five at 3:10 p.m. Sunday, according to police and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

A northbound vehicle crossed the median and struck a second vehicle traveling south, police said. The second vehicle was pushed into another southbound vehicle at mile marker 21.5, near exit 20 in Greene Township. Police are withholding the names of the deceased and others involved in the accident pending notification of their families.
