Michael Slupski, 43, is dead after the pickup he was driving slams into a guardrail, and then oncoming traffic, eventually being hit by a tractor trailer operated by Ryan Fether, 31, on State Route 422 in Plumcreek, Pennsylvania

At approximately 6:40 PM Saturday, Michael Slupski, 43, was driving his Chevrolet Silverado west on State Route 422 in Plumcreek when he lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered road as he was going downhill. His truck slammed into a guardrail before veering into the eastbound lane where he was hit by a tractor trailer driven by Ryan Fether, 31. Slupski was transported to Armstrong County Memorial Hospital and subsequently airlifted to UPMC Presbyterian, where he died Sunday morning from trauma sustained in the accident. Police state that while Slupksi was wearing a seat belt, he was driving too fast for the inclement conditions.
