Garfield Beynon killed when the car he was riding crashed on I-81. 4 others injured.

A 71-year-old Scranton man died Sunday morning in a crash on I-81 in Foster Township, Schuylkill County, state police at Frackville report. Garfield Beynon, 71, was a front seat passenger in a Ford Explorer driven by Jeffrey DelGuercio, 51, of Dickson City, Lackawanna County. State police said DelGuercio lost control and crossed both lanes of I-81 before his SUV hit a guard rail and flipped onto its side. The driver, Beynon and three male juvenile passengers were all wearing seat belts. The operator and juveniles had minor injuries. The accident occurred at 10:44 a.m. at milemarker 114.3.
