Warwick police ID pedestrian, officer involved in deadly collision

According to police, Officer Thomas Paine was out on patrol and driving on West Shore Road when at about 11:15 p.m. Adams entered the roadway and was struck by Paine’s vehicle. 

No charges against officer in deadly pedestrian crash, grand jury rules

A statewide grand jury investigated the circumstances surrounding the incident on West Shore Road and found “insufficient evidence to bring criminal charges,” according to the AG’s office.
