Moped driver severely injured in King St. hit-and-run
Charleston police say a moped driver suffered significant injuries following a hit-and-run collision with a vehicle Tuesday night in downtown Charleston.

The vehicle has been described as an older model (1992-1999), 4-door, white in color Buick Lesabre. The vehicle should have sustained damage to the front bumper and under-carriage. A moped driver suffered significant injuries after a hit-and-run collision Tuesday night in downtown Charleston on King Street at the intersection of Courtland Avenue around 9 p.m. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene and the moped driver was immediately taken to MUSC.
