Five people injured in multi-vehicle accident on Savannah Highway
Five people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident on Savannah Highway in West Ashley Friday evening. The vehicle in lane #3 was struck most likely by the first vehicle struck in lane #2. The GMC struck the rear of the second vehicle stopped in lane #2 causing that vehicle to strike the rear of the first vehicle stopped in lane #2. "Two vehicles were stopped in lane #2 and one vehicle was stopped in lane #3," CPD officials said." According to the Charleston Police Department, the four-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Savannah Highway and Carolina Bay Drive where police were called out at 6:50 p.m.
