Officials say the crash happened at around 12 p.m. when a 1998 Mazda car hit the bicyclist. Troopers say they car and the bicycle were in the same lane when the crash happened.
Georgetown County Coroner ID’s bicyclist killed in crash
The Georgetown County Coroner’s Office says a 24-year-old man was killed Sunday when he was hit by a car while bicycling.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 12 p.m. Sunday on Dunbar Road. Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson identified the victim as 24-year-old Shakim Gray, of the Dunbar community.
Gray and a 1998 Mazda car were traveling east on Dunbar Rd. when the bicyclist was struck as they were riding.
