Orangeburg man survives after semi-truck overturns, breaks in two

Emergency officials say a 26-year-old man survived after a tractor trailer he was driving overturned and broke into two pieces in Colleton County.
A 26-year-old man was driving a tractor trailer early in the morning on Lowcountry Highway when the truck left the roadway and drove through two residential yards, then struck several trees and overturned. The tractor-trailer was so damaged that it broke into two piece, and the fuel tanks spilled a large quantity of diesel. The driver, however, was able to escape the cab of the vehicle and was able to walk when emergency crews arrived.
