A man died and two others were injured in a crash near Monticello Rd and Campground Rd Friday in Richland County.
Driver Benjamin Elliott Owens disregarded a stop sign and a collision occurred. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to trauma associated with the crash. A 17-year-old passenger and the 55-year-old driver of the car he hit were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
