At 2:30 p.m., the car was approaching the intersection with Pine Plain Road near Swansea, when it drove off the road to the right and struck an embankment and some trees, said Lance Cpl. William Bennett.
One dead after single-vehicle collision in Lexington County
Troopers say a Toyota SUV was going south on Old Sandy Run and approached the intersection of Pine Plane Road when it ran off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and then some trees. The driver of the SUV was taken to Prisma Health Richland where she later died due to her injuries.
