Highway Patrol says one person is dead and several people were airlifted to a hospital after a collision Sunday. It happened at approximately 2:40 p.m. on US-301 near US-176.

A 2007 Saturn sedan was driving south on U.S. 301/Five Chop Road and it collided with a 2022 Kia sedan that was going east on U.S. 176/Old State Road, according to Butler.
