A moped driver has died weeks after a crash in Oconee County. The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash occurred on January 3 on Coffee Road near Ridley Road about 1 mile from Westminster.

They said a moped was traveling east on Coffee Road and had a mechanical failure. Troopers said that failure resulted in the driver losing control and falling off the moped.
