An investigation revealed that the pedestrian crossed over a guard rail and walked across South Pleasantburg Drive when a vehicle, traveling south hit them. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner’s office identified them as 43-year-old Gabriel Maurice Irby, of Fountain Inn.
