Landon Dyson was hit on Friday afternoon on Palomino Drive in Spartanburg County. Troopers said Dyson was leaving a yard and came out behind a vehicle that was parked on the road and was hit by an SUV.

Troopers said a 2011 Chevrolet SUV was traveling north on Palomino Drive where a legally parked vehicle was facing south when the 5-year-old walked out in the middle of the road and was hit.
