Coroner: Woman killed when box truck hit her car from behind in Greenwood County

The Greenwood County coroner said a 57-year-old woman has died after her vehicle was struck by a box truck Wednesday morning. The crash happened at the intersection of Grace Street and Bypass SC 72 at 4:42 a.m. Coroner Sonny Cox said the box truck struck the victim’s vehicle from behind. Angela C. Gambrell of Old Abbeville Highway in Greenwood died at the scene, Cox said. The coroner, Greenwood police, and SC Highway Patrol are investigating the crash.
