A 32-year-old man was killed in a crash Thursday night.
According to the highway patrol, the crash happened at 9:42 p.m. Thursday in the southbound lane of Interstate 85 at mile marker 102, which is in the Blacksburg city limits.

Troopers say a 2012 Dodge pick-up was traveling at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended a 1995 Mercury, overturned, and landed in the median.
Both of the truck's occupants were ejected from the vehicle. Neither were wearing seat belts according to troopers.
Robert Wanzelak, 59, of Florida, was driving the Mercury and was transported to Spartanburg Regional for his injuries.
Eva Vickers, 40, was in the pick-up truck and was airlifted to Spartanburg Regional for her injures.
Thirty-eight-year-old Brannon Keith Harrison was the other occupant in the pick-up truck and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler.
Fowler said Harrison's body was found in the road while Vickers body lay in the median. Their truck came to rest on the cable barriers in the median.
Fowler said it is unclear who was the driving the pickup at the time of the crash.
