Cabbie robbed at knife point; crashes into house.

Greenville police are investigating the armed robbery of a cab driver that ended with the cab crashing into home, according to Sgt. Tim Conroy.

Greenville police are investigating the armed robbery of a cab driver that ended with the cab crashing into home.

Investigators say the cab driver picked up a customer just before 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.

The cab driver told police that the customer pulled a knife, and demanded money.

The cab driver then crashed into the front porch of a home on Birnie Street.

Conroy says that the driver suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Police searched the area around Birnie Street, but have not made an arrest.
