The coroner said the crash was reported at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 4900 block of South Pine Street. The moped driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner. He was wearing a helmet.
Spartanburg Co. coroner identifies man killed in moped crash
Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger announced that Daniel James Soulia, 43, of Cowpens Pacolet Road in Spartanburg was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.
The crash happened just before 6 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Brown Road, according to the SC Highway Patrol.
