Second person dies following Easter morning crash.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a wreck on Easter Sunday killed a 25-year-old man and a 22-year-old man.
According to state troopers, the accident happened as a pickup truck was traveling north on Mt. Zion Road just outside of Wellford early Sunday morning.
The truck went off the left side of the road, over-corrected, went off the right side of the road and hit a tree, troopers said.
The truck's driver and a passenger were killed in the crash, and two other passengers in the truck were injured.
The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office identified the 25-year-old driver as Eric Lee Smith.
Sunday night, the coroner's office announced the 22-year-old passenger, Grayson Tyler Massey, died from his injuries at the hospital several hours after the crash.
There is no update on the conditions of the other two passengers.
The crash remains under investigation, and authorities are waiting for more information from autopsies and toxicology tests.
