2-year-old killed, other seriously hurt in truck-tricycle crash
Both children were on Country Road two miles north of Rapid City, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety. The girl, 3, was riding a tricycle while the boy, 2, was walking near her. They were hit at 6:15 p.m. by a westbound 2002 GMC Sierra C2500 HD pickup driven by Corey Aga, 19, of Sturgis. Aga was not wearing a seatbelt and was not hurt.
The boy died at the scene, and the girl has serious non-life-threatening injuries.

Brien died at the scene and the 3-year-old has serious injuries. Her name is not being released because she is a minor, the Highway Patrol said.
