One person killed, another injured in crash near Irene
A 2006 Harley Davison FLHRCI was southbound on 448th Avenue near 295th Street when a deer entered the roadway. The motorcycle driver tried to avoid the deer, but the two collided. Both the male driver and female passenger were thrown from the motorcycle. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The female passenger suffered serious non-life threatening injuries. She was transported by helicopter to a Sioux Falls hospital. Neither occupant was wearing a helmet.
