At about 6:40 a.m., Curtis Byrd let the Ford drift to the left side of the road and strike a guardrail, which slammed into the cabin and fatally injured Wilbert Byrd, according to the police news release. Curtis Byrd received minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
