2 killed when driver crashes barricade at music festival

A post on the festival's Facebook page says there will be a community-wide prayer meeting this evening. Selmer is about 40 miles south of Jackson.

2 killed when car crashes into crowd at Tenn. festival

CBS affiliate WBBJ reported an elderly couple drove through a barricade and into the crowd gathered for the Rockabilly Highway Revival Festival in Selmer, according to the highway patrol.

The couple who died — Sherri R. Duncan, 51, of Henderson, and Michael L. Johnson, 62, of Selmer — were taken to Shackelford Funeral Home, and the driver of the car, Aaron D. Stamey, 91, of Hornsby, and his passenger, Lois M. Stamey, 86, also of Hornsby, were taken by ambulance to Magnolia Hospital in Corinth, Mississippi, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The Highway Patrol was notified of the accident at 1:48 p.m.

Loved ones remember couple killed in Selmer crash

Three years ago, he met Duncan over Facebook, and the two bonded over their shared Christian faith and love of nature, according to Duncan’s mother, Shirley King. Connie Moore, Duncan's aunt, said Duncan was "steady and sure" of Johnson's love.
