Maddox Rexroade, 5, dies after car–bus crash on Old Tullahoma Road in Franklin County, Tennessee

1 injured in car vs. bus crash in Franklin County Posted: Updated: At least one person was injured in a wreck that involved a school bus near a Franklin County school on Thursday morning. The Franklin County Sheriff'€™s Office did not believe any of the students on the bus were injured. A school bus and car collided near North Lake Elementary School on Old Tullahoma Road (Highway 130). Students were on the bus when the wreck occurred. A person in the car was flown to a hospital.

Maddox was flown to Erlanger Medical Center and his mother was transferred to the facility after being taken by ground to Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester. One of the students involved in a wreck with a school bus has passed away. Maddox was in the car with his mother, Aprille Rexroade, his 11-year-old brother Shea Shelton, and his twin brother Conner, age 5, when it collided with a school bus on Thursday morning. Seth, a fifth grader, was in stable condition on Thursday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that Rexroade did not stop at a stop sign at the end of Awalt Road and pulled into the path of the school bus on Old Tullahoma Highway (Highway 130).
