2 killed in crash on I-40 West in Putnam County
The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported a vehicle was traveling in the eastbound lanes before crossing the median and striking a commercial vehicle. The car went underneath the commercial vehicle and caught fire, killing the two people inside, according to the THP.

Authorities said it appeared the eastbound vehicle, a 93 Chevy C15 pick-up driven by 25-year-old Patrick D. Honer listed as a resident of Crossville in the THP report, crossed the median and crashed head-on into a tractor trailer traveling westbound. The pick-up truck crashed into the front of and underneath the big rig which burst into flames. Both people in pick-up truck were killed including Honer and a female passenger, listed in the report as 28-year-old Rhonda Marie Henderson of Celina.
