Stewart was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Robertson County Emergency Management Agency Director R.L. Douglas.
In Coopertown on Tuesday morning, 18-year-old Dillon R. Stewart of Ashland Cit was southbound in a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant on Highway 49 West near York Road when his car crossed the center line, striking a semi shortly after 7 a.m. Stewart died at the scene. The truck driver, 29-year-old Paducah resident Troy E. Ricks, was not injured in the head-on crash.
