Sheets posted on Facebook that he's feeling beaten up, but asks for everyone prayers for Anderson. According to one of her family members, she suffered broken ribs and a brain injury the required surgery.
Former beauty queen in critical condition after hit-and-run in Corpus Christi
Former Miss South Dakota contestant Maria Anderson, 21, and her boyfriend Tyler Sheets, 23, were hit by a truck as they walked in the 1400 block of S. Padre Island Dr. around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning near a Sonic, police say. The vehicle that hit the couple fled the scene. Police released images of the truck in question and are asking the public for help in identifying the suspect.

Both Tyler and Maria were transported to the hospital with injuries. Maria has broken ribs and a brain injury that she has already undergone surgery for. She is in critical condition.
