47-year-old man killed after his motorcycle hits a curb on foggy roadway and he is thrown off bike.

Police are trying to determine if fog played a role in a deadly motorcycle crash.

It happened around 3 a.m. Friday on Dixie Farm Road near the Gulf Freeway.

Investigators said a 47-year-old man on a motorcycle lost control, hit a curb and fell off his bike.

He was taken to Southeast Memorial Hermann Hospital where he died.

Police said the area was foggy at the time of the crash. Alcohol is not believed to have played a role.
