According to the Houston Police Department, a man was driving a white Chevy Silverado pickup truck around 10:00 p.m. Friday.
The man somehow got on the westbound feeder lanes of I-10 going eastbound, the wrong direction
The driver then slammed head-on into an 18-wheeler going westbound.
The 25-year-old driver of the pickup truck was trapped in the truck and had to be extricated once police arrived.
He was taken to Hermann Memorial Hospital by Lifeflight in critical condition, where he later died.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was taken to a local hospital by ambulance in stable condition.
