A child is dead after an accident in north Houston
The wreck happened shortly before noon on Lorraine Street and Elysian, near downtown Houston. Police say an armored van was heading north on Lorraine and turning onto Elysian when the child was crossing the street.
The van hit and killed the child. The age and gender of the child have not been released.
No charges have been filed at this time.
