One man killed, after his SUV rear-ends a tractor-trailer on Farrell Road near Houston.

A driver was killed after crashing into an 18-wheeler Wednesday morning.

Investigators said the driver of the 18-wheeler was driving on Farrell Road near East Hardy Road in Northeast Harris County around 1 a.m.

According to investigators, the truck driver started slowing down to turn off of the feeder road. A man that was driving an SUV behind the 18-wheeler couldn't stop in time and crashed into the back of the truck.

The driver in the SUV died on the scene.

Deputies said the results of a toxicology test would reveal whether the man was impaired at the time of the crash.
