Around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 9000 block of Airport Boulevard, Bobby Brooks, 56, of Houston, was riding a bicycle southbound in the 8100 block of Hansen Road and entered the pedestrian crosswalk. An unidentified yellow school bus traveling northbound on Hansen turned right onto Airport and hit Brooks when making a legal right turn. Brooks was pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver fled the scene.
