39-year-old male motorcyclist dies following crash on Highway 290 in Houston, Texas

Fatal accident causes closure of 290 westbound lanes

All westbound lanes are closed after a motorcycle  wreck in an HOV lane. The driver of the motorcycle died at the scene.

FATAL MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT BRINGS TRAFFIC ON HIGHWAY 290 TO STANDSTILL

According to police, bikers from the Grey Ghost Motorcycle club out of Louisiana were traveling east on 290 near Barker-Cypress when one of them lost control and hit a temporary barrier. 
A motorcyclist died Monday night following an accident on Highway 290 near between Tidwell Road and Elridge Road. The accident occured on October 27, 2014 when the motorcycle wrecked in the HOV lane. The driver passed away at the scene.

I was about 20 cars behind when this happened. Horrible accident scene that I wish I had never witnessed. I took a photo of the wrecked motorcycle only as I passed. I have more details if someone out there is still interested.
