One dead, two with serious injuries after vehicle departs road and strikes light pole in southeast Houston, TX

At about 3:30am, a pickup truck with a driver and two other passengers departed the road and collided with a light pole, leaving the driver dead at the scene, and the two passengers with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
