Porsha Branch and three children killed in multi-vehicle crash at FM 2920 and Gosling Road in Spring, Harris County, Texas

Seven vehicles were involved in the fiery crash and Life Flight was called to the scene for two survivors, authorities said.

Police were reviewing witness video showing a vehicle that may have been speeding and caused the crash.

The 2-year-old was also flown by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann in Houston and originally reported deceased. However, this morning Constable updated the information that that child is on life support.

The driver of the at-fault vehicle was identified as Daniel Canada was found to be intoxicated. He is currently still at the hospital being treated for his injuries.

Porsha Branch, 7-month-old Drake, 2-year-old Messiah and 5-year-old King were heading home from a furniture store when Canada crashed into the back of their car, according to authorities.

Moments before the crash, investigators say Canada had been pulled over by a Harris County deputy for speeding. The deputy searched his car and confiscated marijuana, according to the sheriff’s department, but a release stated the deputy did not believe Canada was drunk.

Authorities said the black box recovered from Daniel Canada's vehicle showed he was speeding just seconds before crashing into the back of Porsha Branch's vehicle.
