29-year-old woman killed, 15-year-old woman seriously injured, airlifted to hospital, 39-year-old man suffers minor injuries, after a car and truck collide on I-35 in San Antonio.

A woman died Thursday afternoon after her car collided with a truck on the Southwest Side.

A Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman said the woman, later identified as Yvonne Vidalez, 29, had been heading north on the Interstate 35 access road at Shepherd Road around 3 p.m. A 15-year-old female was her passenger.

A man, 39, driving a truck the opposite direction began to make a left turn at a stop sign when the front left portion of the woman's car struck the truck, authorities said.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger was flown to University Hospital in serious condition. The driver of the truck received minor injuries.

Fault has not been determined and the incident remains under investigations, Hughes said.
