Driver killed in head-on crash with oil truck in E. Utah

A woman was killed late Friday when the car she was driving east on U.S. 40 near Duchesne drifted out of its lane and collided head-on with a westbound semi-truck hauling crude oil, the Utah Highway Patrol said. The crash occurred just before midnight. The driver of the tanker, which caught fire, was able to get out of his vehicle safely, UHP said.

According to Utah Highway Patrol, the accident happened just before midnight when Ashley Hansen, 18, of Roosevelt was traveling eastbound on SR-40 and drifted into the westbound lanes , colliding with a double tanker truck hauling crude oil.
