Off-duty officer seriously injured in motorcycle crash
ccording to the Utah Highway Patrol, the driver of a Chrysler Town and Country minivan stopped at the stop sign at 1200 East, then made a left-hand turn in front of an oncoming motorcycle. Lt. Lee Perry said the driver of the motorcycle, Officer Eric Johnson, was traveling westbound in the inside lane. Johnson was not be wearing a helmet and suffered a serious head injury, Perry said. He was transported to Logan Regional Hospital, then airlifted to a Salt Lake City area hospital. The driver of the van was not injured.
