Investigators reported poor visibility at 1300 South and Main Street about 11 p.m. when the man, 32, attempted to cross 1300 south just east of the intersection, said Salt Lake City Police Lt. Mike Ross; street lights were darkened due to a power outage and rain was falling, Ross said.
