8-year-old girl critically injured after she is struck by a South Jordan School bus while crossing 40th Street in South Jordan, Utah

Parents in a South Jordan neighborhood are heart broken and outraged after an 8-year-old girl was struck and critically injured by a passing school bus. The 8-year-old girl was hurt by the Jordan district bus while she was crossing the street after getting off her bus. The girl did not see the second bus approaching behind her, and stepped into the bus's path unaware. Parents say they have asked that this bus stop be moved off 40th west and into the neighborhood, but because the neighborhoods have private HOA's the district refused. Many of the children that were still on the buses were traumatized after witnessing the incident. The South Jordan school district is going to have grief counseling available for students on Thursday.
